About the only one I know of is Ansel Adams. I know terrible considering how long I have been into photography. I have never really been much of a photographer follower, more like if I like a style, or a photo itself has been as far as it has gone for me. Growing up when there were magazines such as LOOK, LIFE, and naturally Geo, made it something that drew me to it. And somewhat formed my style.

At least here in the western USA we are flooded with landscape photographers.  Too many for me to have a clue as to which are "top".  There are plenty of landscape/nature photographers who have a blog -

blog.akimagery.com/

www.davidclapp.co.uk/blog

dawn2dawnphotography.com/

www.enlightphoto.com/views/

jaypatelphotography.com/photoblog

laurieexcell.com/

www.natureandphotography.com/

www.nickcarverphotography.com/blog/

photonaturalist.net/

As an aside, there are very few who focus on cityscapes.  Which pretty much plays by the same rules as landscape photography.

I stopped in at Mountainlight a couple years after Galen and his wife died. His kids were running it then. It's set in what was before an old bank and they have a really nice display in there. it's worth stopping at if your going through. It's in Bishop, Cal on the south side of town.

One season in 2011. Many of the episodes can be seen on weather.com:

I think I've seen them all, and they're fairly content free. Lots of talking about "getting the shot" but not much about what that means.

I agree, his proclivity to "getting the shot" is extraordinary, however in his show he really didn't give much substance to how this is achieved.  Too me, the show was a glorified billboard for his work and not focused on helping others.  Which is, in my opinion, why they show failed.

Thanks.  A few of them are also on my current top ten blogs list -

photographyintro.com/category/blog-roll/

Which is not restricted to landscape blogs.
