Permit needed for nude photo shoot on Florida beach?

I plan on doing this on a remote section of the beach where no one is around.  One female model.  Would I need a permit to do this or is this something that would fly under the radar?

Yeah good luck on that one. I do not believe they will give you a permit for that. You can get one I imagine, but what is required to do the shoot would make it cost prohibitive. They would want you to have people to keep other people from happening on the shoot. You could risk it, but if someone does happen upon it, you will earn your points at the local extended stay crossbar hotel. There are nude beaches down there, so you are better off going to one of them, and finding an unpopulated part of it.

Yeah, that might be a tough one to get the city to pass on.  The risk if you get caught, might get you fined.   If it's a crazy remote section where you know 100% that no one visits, then go for it. Just be quick about it. Have your models dress in robes when they are not in the frame for the photo.

+1 use common sense and caution on this one.

I'm with Joves on this one, that will be rough getting permit.  Didn't some couple just get some serious jail time in Florida for messing around on a public beach?  I know you are talking about something completely different, but still, they are touchy these days.

I read that story too Prago, but big difference.  You won't get prison time for taking photos of someone that is nude on the beach.

I'm pretty sure the photographer has no risk in an activity of this sort. The risk is taken by the person disrobing.

And honestly, if you move far enough away from where folks hang out, to a secluded area where there are no spectators, I imagine no one is really going to care. Especially if you shoot in the morning or evening hours, and/or during the week.

Agree too.  Just find a secluded spot.

As an aside ... laws governing such things vary from place to place, and sometimes make no sense.  Dunno about Florida but in Vermont, for example, it is not illegal to be nude in public ... but disrobing in public is.  Go figure that one out! ;)

Good food for thought, thanks everyone.   I might need to rethink this.
