Suggestions for a backdrop for a highschool ball?

13 years 1 month ago #41934 by SP65 Art
I was just contacted and asked if I would do a ball at a local highschool. I have the lights etc... However there is a theme and that is " A night in Paris". What suggestions do you have to make my pictures or specifically the backdrop match the theme?

Any other suggestions on what to think of when doing a highschool ball?

I found some murals that can either be personalized or not personalized. Have you ever used the murals (or anyone else for that matter)?
If so, do you think it is worth to personalize it and it would be for a one time use or to use it with not personalized. I suppose I could maybe add the wording in photoshop. Although that may be more work then what I want to do.

Where I live the students make their own backdrop when they are doing the decorating. I would check to be sure that you even need to create something before you go too far.

The girl that called me. She is comparing my prices with last years photographer. She did mention that the theme was " a night in Paris" and asked what kind of backdrops I had to work with that. It made it sound that I was expected to provide that. If I know how many kids will be there and that I will have presold their photos then it would be worth it to invest in the mural backdrop.

I have never done a highschool ball before so if anyone have any advice to share with me on how to get the whole event to run smoothly. Any info that is typical for prom photographers would be helpful.

Have a person at a table writing the student names down and taking cash it would be a huge benefit. Have them hold the line back so you are only dealing directly with the couple you are photographing.

How about some sort of heart/romance backdrop.
