How much to charge?

How do you price your time to others who want to hire you? Hourly or depends on the job? I'm trying to get into charging people and need some help with pricing out my time.

thanks a bunch

I would look on Craigslist to see what others in your area are charging.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith on the prices I see posted on Craigslist. Most pros don't advertise their prices on Craigslist. They may list them in their own websites.

Most of the phtographers on Craigslist tend to be amateurs trying to break into the market who charge so little that they don't even realize that they are losing money.

Granted, there is a market at this dollar amount but it may not be the market that you want to serve. The amount paid = the perceived value of the product. If you are producing a quality product, charge for it!

Good luck
