REALLY RIGHT STUFF® Safari Rig

San Luis Obispo, California, September 21, 2011 – Really Right Stuff has been working with world renowned photographer and African safari guide, Andy Biggs to design a low profile yet solid system to be used inside safari vehicles typical in southern Africa. The RRS Andy Biggs Safari Rig connects to an RRS MC-34 Monopod via a low profile collar and can be secured to hand rails up to 3.5 inch diameters. A newly developed Ball Clamp makes disconnecting the monopod from the vehicle fast and easy for when mobility is a necessity. With its modular design, the Safari Rig is extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of environments beyond a safari vehicle. Sporting events and concerts are other venues where the Safari rig can be extremely useful. More Safari Rig accessories are coming soon.
  • All aluminum parts are 6061-T6, CNC milled to meet rigorous standards and are Type II anodized for years of corrosion-free performance in the toughest conditions.
  • Multiple threaded sockets for a wide variety of configurations.
  • Ball Clamp can be used as a standalone ballhead.
  • Multiple package options for a variety of situations
  • Safari Clamp weighs 7.5 oz. and costs $110.00.
  • Safari Ball Clamp weighs 4.1 oz. and costs $130.00.
  • Safari Collar weighs 1.5 oz. and costs $60.00.
