The “Power of Light” is a brand-new, on the road lighting workshop aimed at emerging photographers and students who are hungry to take their lighting skills to another level.

Watsonville, CA 2/19/2013 - For 28 years, Photoflex has been engaging the worlds best photographers as partners in delivering quality results. Relying on those with expertise in the field to create an innovative line of lighting products. Now, Photoflex has created the Power of Light which taps that wealth of talent and knowledge to create a workshop that informs and inspires.

The Power of Light begins with an understanding of the basic lighting principles of brightness, direction, contrast, color, as well as the hard and soft qualities of light. The workshop then builds upon that knowledge to show students that whether it’s one light or ten, lighting is about creating depth, form, richness, texture, and above all mood.

Students will see the work of Kevin Kubota, Ian Spanier, Alycia White, Billy Pegram, Laura Tillinghast, Miss Aniela, Blair Bunting, Boudoir Divas, and many other Pro Showcase shooters. These artists represent many different styles of photography, but all of these pros share an understanding of lighting technique that allows them to explore and fulfill their unique creativity.

Photoflex is bringing the Power of Light to venues big and small. Their goal is to engage established photographers across the country to partner with them in hosting workshops by adding their own voice and wisdom to the program.

The Power of Light is an opportunity for pro shooters to expand into teaching and mentoring. For emerging photographers, it’s a fantastic way to learn that creating great light is a creative learning process that begins with a solid foundation. This is the Power of Light.

To learn more about the Power of Light, they have a webpage with a video that discusses these points and more:
