Nikon to kill off these cameras? Sony Drone | Mega Monster from Fuji!

3 years 3 months ago #707646 by Alex
Nikon seems poised to give their D5600 and D3500 the axe, which would mean discontinuing two of their most popular DSLRs. But other companies are launching new products - and soon - including Sony’s new Airpeak drone and Fuji’s new GFX 100s medium format camera. We’ll give you all the details on these stories in PhotographyTalk 58. We’ll also discuss our current giveaway, which includes three awesome photography-related prizes for three lucky winners!

Would either of them be a good beginning type of camera? For the total beginner?

Guessing the prices would drop some as well.

Do they stand up with Cannon M 50? as I am looking for that first camera to do mutable things, photos, Vlogs, and some filming?

Thanks

So after so many years of doing this or that and life itself getting in my way, I am now at the point where just slowing down and doing things I have put off I have concluded that its time to become creative and do what I want.
Thanks for giving me a place to get started. :-)

I'm thinking Nikon is discontinuing base DSLRs in favor of base model MILC's. That said, I always wait for a new model to come out as the discontinued model is normally reduced a good bit in price. I've gotten two Olympus MILC models that way... The Em5 Mark II and an EM 1 Mark II

I wonder if Sony will make a more consumer friendly drone at one point.  This one looks like something more photographers/videographers would want.

Thanks for the follow.

Think Sony is trying for the higher-end professional market first then they will start to make some consumer one.

Interesting, DJI can't be happy about this considering recent law suits with Autel.  Sony could become a throne in their Enterprise sales arm.
