Hello all,
Here is a link to my website... it is constantly in development, maybe due to my constant search for perfection (which is always to the eye of the beholder). Please critique, even though my friends give their praise and critique it always holds more value when it comes from my fellow peers. There is a contact link if you would like to contact me through there. Please comment and I hope you enjoy.

Regards

Hi Bert

Smugmug I see! There is one thing I don't like about Smugmug and that is the way the "second level" menus appear as a page of thumbnails with little comments and dates created and stuff - very unprofessional in my mind. If you don't mind, here is an example from your site .

Last weekend I spent the time to learn how to make a set of menus and submenus that work like a normal web page. I followed the instructions of an expert in this on the DGrin forum and once you put your mind to it, it was not very complex at all. The results of my work are here . If you look at the menu here, there is the top level and then the lower galleries appear under that top level.

Other things that attracted my attention (and away from the images) were the bright red title and the words along the bottom (which I had to scroll to fully see. Not sure red is a good choice there!

Hope this helps

Steve

Great - if you want to see the HTML and CSS that I added to my smugmug, just let me know and I'll forward. The only posts on that very long (49 pages!) discussion is the first one and one about halfway through that he references in that first one. Once I copied that into my website, the garish colors help you work through what you need to change to get the look you are seeking.
