For me, the only interest is in the resolution. Did you
contemplate the size of a 14 bit uncompressed RAW?
… and the hardware to cope with the massive weight
of a shooting session?

I'm not sure what the huge selling point over the current one is other than the increased megapixels. Although I guess since that's the main selling point of the A7R over the A7, it's important to the people who would buy one. Obviously the best point about this camera is the effect it'll have on the A7Riii prices.

The other thing I was interested in as I thought it might give an insight into the next generation of A7S and A7 cameras was the video bitrate. Still only 8bit. Granted they're perhaps not going to premiere new video features on this camera, but if it was 10bit, that would pretty much guarantee that the other cameras were going to be the same. As it is, they're still behind the Nikon Z6 for video recording. And massively behind Blackmagic's latest offering, which admittedly is purely a cinema camera.

What still no tilt-y screen that points forward?

Not a huge step over the current A7r.  Those files have got to be huge from that thing.  Better upgrade to monster hard drives!

I wait to see what Nikon will come up with!
…and it doesn't even use their XQD cards!
