Does this work for anyone else?...

Or does it appear over-cooked?  Any and all comments and observations are welcome!

Comments on the capture are appreciated, too.

Hard to put my finger on it, but there appears to be something like a HDR effect?  So I would say yes, slightly overcooked.

Cool shot really, good composition etc.

I'd personally add a little more contrast. My reasoning is this: currently it looks a bit like a HDR, but not quite like a stylized picture. Adding a bit of contrast will push it over to being deliberately stylized without looking bad. It also makes it pop a little more.

Optionally: reduce the blue saturation a little (especially because of the two dudes with blue tops on, kinda distracting). It also makes the bird stand out more against the sky.
Add more green saturation for the sake of the trees (or adjust the hue so they're slightly less yellow.

Excellent. It is good to get other eyes and perspectives.

I quite agree with both of the above; that's why I wasn't quite sure about this one.  I wasn't really going for stylized, but as you can tell, this was a (single) midday shot, and it's always a problem trying to tame shadows without going overboard. The saturation is a bit much, definitely where the shirts are concerned, so I shall make some additional edits.

Thank you both!!

Yeah, those blue shirts caught my eye too.  The other detail that doesn't sit well with me is the lack of gradation in the woodwork across the front of the stage.  As if it had been lacquered or something.  I would expect that wood to be rather dull looking instead.  Maybe dial back on the clarity for some parts of the scene?
