I did some back in the film days. Got some pretty spectacular wrecks! I liked it just not many little rodeo's left around here, within about 50mi any way. Biggest problem I had was finding a good spot to shoot from. Be great if you could get right out in front of the chute but that isn't gonna happen!

I like your photos David! I would like to shoot a bullriding event in the daytime. The bullriding here in Arkansas have been after sunset in poorly lit arenas. I use 5 speedlights, 4 remote and one on the camera. Can't beat natural sunlight

I have shot night rodeos too, for that I use two Eninchrom Ranger AS's ( 1100 ws each ) depending on the arena, I also use Photoflex Triton Strobes for smaller venues.

As good as the riders are they don't come close to the talent of the bullfighters

Bull fighter's got the tuffest most dangerous job in the world! Wish you hadn't posted these. Now next year I'll probably feel the need to go to a few. They are pretty far from me usually. Take's a spectacular ride to get a good photo of a rider still on the bull. But the bad wreaks, scary but awesome. Put yourself in the place of the cowboy under the bull or the fighter trying to get him out and the bull away from him, scary!!!!
