Thought I'ld post a couple I was happy back from a while back but always after crit. This was my first time at a proper race meet so tried to grab the movement and colours on the track...

Unfortunately on the practice day there weren't to many vantage points so all taken from roughly the same spot...

I love em all... Number two is really fantastic. Great job with the panning.

Bottom one is fine. The other 3 are cropped a bit tight. Car fans are gear heads, want to see the entire car.

I see a lot of diversity in your work Nissan. These are good, and tough shots to get.

I'm in awe. My favourite is the bottom one, because of the billboard text that fits splendidly with the motive. You did that on purpose, right?

Erm, yes...

OK, No... this was my first day out with pro cars so quicker than the track days I'm used to although the chicane slwoed them down nicely. I was more worried about getting the two Porkies in the shot together and in focus. Your the first person to post about the billboard which is another reason why I like posting some of my 'older' shots as the more opinons the better and it's something for me to keep an eye on in future, thanks :)

Dunno what all you've tried. But I used to get a kick out of shooting motorcycle races, often could get multiple bikes in the frame. Rallys too, cars were often sideways or airborne.

At the mo I try to get out every day off I have but currently working 6.5 days per week which narrows it down a tad after you've done the cleaning and catching up on washing/cleaning!

Will try to be out this Wednesday coming as I have a day off, hopefully if the weather stays as it is will be another trip down to the local Birds Of Prey Centre but will see, haven't got a weekend of in the foreseable future so no more motorsports for a while although have managed to blag a press pass for the British Touring Cars and Drift comp in July :)

Here in the US a press pass is better than having a credit card. I've been wined and dined (for free) so you give them good PR.

Join a group, like NPPA, and they'll give you a "pass". Like American Express, you can take it anywhere!

It's no different here Matt, one of the companies I use for transporting my cars between sites has started sponsoring a Drift team this year and know I'm into photograhpy so managed to blag the pass purely for the one event and can't wait :)
