There you go again, talking about yummy food.  I'm still thinking about making bread from the last time you spoke about it! :)

What Gary likes about making his breads is that you have the opportunity to add a ton of stuff.

Sadly, Gary had to toss out some pesto he made ... not too long ago.  Typically, pesto lasts a long time.  Gary has always wondered how one could tell when pesto go bad ... fortunately the mold is white.  :P

Today, maybe more replacement pesto and bread ... Gary is out of bread.

Gary loves cheese.  Unlike Europe and the UK, really really good cheeses are a bit difficult to find.

Making pasta from scratch is a time consuming process.  I wish I had the time, my mother used to make home made pasta and it was the best.  It look a while and made a little bit more mess than pouring out of the box.  But boy, was it good!

Yeah, we pasta sounds a little heavy right now.  But sounds good.  Do you all cook in or cook out more?

Both :) .  Gary uses a machine to flatten and cut the dough into different types of noodles.

Usually, Gary uses wheat flour for his pastas ... which is healthier than bleached flour.

Gary used to eat out four to five days a week.  Since Gary has started cooking ... really cooking good stuff (food significantly better than hamburgers and hot dogs), he has reversed that ratio to now eating home four to five times a week.

On the spaghetti sauce, Gary has around 16 different varieties of tomatoes and tons of herbs and peppers for his sauce.  When the backyard tomatoes are low, Gary will pickup sauces from the store, then augment the store sauce with tomatoes and herbs from the yard.

Reminds me of growing up.  Nice to have garden with fresh herbs and such.  Fresh herbs brings foods alive in ways no store bought can do.
