One of the other things that you will discover is that 'good' tripods a) cost more than cheapies, and b) they are worth their weight in gold when it comes to stability
While there are many types of materials used to make tripod legs, aluminium tubes are most common. My tripod is made by Vanguard and cost me well over $200 before buying a head to go on top of it - taking its overall cost towards the $300 mark
Others here will spend 2x ot 3x my costs as their pockets are deeper &/or their needs are different
The big thing with any tripod is stability - no vibration in the breeze; no vibration when you press the shutter button; along with size-shape-weight which are all issues each of us has to balance when looking for something to buy

The chain store cheapie box was labelled "Professional quality tripod suitable for all photography". There are no markings on the actual tripod.
The other one is my Vanguard (dunno a model number) with a 'good' ball head from B&H usa - all up costing over $A300
ps- the 'cheapie' now is used to hold a small flashgun and slave receiver when doing studio-type photo work
