Looking for tips on taking photos of food, lighting and such

13 years 5 months ago #4756 by Casey T
I love to cook and always looking for new things to photograph. I'm thinking about setting up a food blog. (Yeah I know, another food blog! :) )

I shoot with a Nikon D70 and have a few lenses. I was wondering what would be a good lighting set up for photo photography? Any golden rules or tips in photographing food? Tips?

Thanks

Casey

I have never photographed food before but imagine it's all about setting up a good shot. I would play with the colors with the food, the plates and glass's. Make sure the back ground not to busy or blur it out. That's my 2 cents on subject I don't know much about!

This is about the topic here, but I was curious how old is that camera in your avatar?

It's from the mid 1950s.
