Question about photographying portrait indoors and person has glasses on

10 years 11 months ago #5773 by Tennis Guy
I just took some photos of a friend and her daughter and her daugter had glasses on and I had a glare on her glasses in all the images. I'm going to have them come back and I was wondering what can I do to cut the glare out? Will a polarized filter work, even though this is being shot indoors? Portraits are new to me so really apprciate your help.

I've often been tempted to use a polarizer indoors (for architectural stuff) but never actually have. Maybe we just need to go ahead and try it! You can probably do some testing pretty easily. My only thought is that it may rob you of some light that you need indoors. I'm just as curious as you.

They also sell polarizers for studio lights, plus they are used in conjunction with one on the lens...Here's a link
