Photography Tip: Light Painting Tutorial Video

Ive done thins and it works better if you use a LED light source (like a small keychain light) also what works well is a chemical light( they sell them in the camping supplies...the things you break and the light glows) kind of like the glow sticks you see at carnivals...those work too...another trick i have done, that works real awesome is...find an old front tire rim from a pedal bike....kids size 20 inch.....if you can find these its worth it...mostly at Christmas time is when they are available....they are a set of like 20 -25 battery operated LED lights on a string....

take the old rim, pound out the shaft in the middle (if you can) and then tape the lights around the old rim...secure the battery pack to one of the spokes....and do the same thing as in the video...BUT as your shutter is open, SPIN the rim and move it in a circle in front of you.....this gives it a "spiralgraph effect".....

make sure your battery is charged up too....note the battery like on the DSLR....LOL
