Very nice close up shot. I like the wood color and the lighting of this photo!

Is this a vintage plane? Still functional?

Hi Kira,

I think the airplane is a Piper J-3 Cub. It was used as a light "reconnaissance" plane in the 1940'ish era I believe. The non-functional plane was located in a small museum.

The propeller is still wood. This is a vintage. Good shot for this.

I like the  shapes emphasized in this shot. Good angle too.

Good focus! Nice  light too! Do you have the full photo of the plane?

No, it was an awkward angle so I captured only the essential elements. The entire airplane was at an awkward angle for the limited capacity of my cell phone.

Vintage items really have a touch of elegance and mystery to them.  Nice one here.

Hannah,

Indeed, I love vintage planes, cars and clothing aka the "zoot" suit. Fyi, there was even a riot in Los Angeles in 1943 over the use of "zoot" suits by Mexican - American citizens....weird.

Cheers!
