They say this thing will Supports 35.3 lb. Seems like a lot of weight, anyone have this ball head or know anything about it? B&H is selling it at $329, pricey but looks like a nice head. Your thoughts?

I have a couple of friends that use this ball head and are for the most part satisfied with it. When they use the head with their pro camera bodies and a lens such as the 70-200, 100-400 or a 300mm f/4 (not f/2.8) the ball head is rock solid.

But when they use the ball head with a 500mm f/4 or 400 f/2.8 lens the ball head will creep at times, unless they keep it tightened down so hard that they cannot follow a moving object.

How much does a 500mm or 400mm lens like that weigh?

Good for me I don't have a 500mm lens  I would like one, but that is way out of my budget for now. Thanks for the heads up on the ball head!
