Gorillapod 3k legs keep coming apart??

3 years 3 months ago #713908 by Raymond Z
I have this Gorillapod 3k for some time and honestly never used it till this weekend.  But when I bend the legs, which ever one is in the back, always pops out.   I can easily pop it back into place, but this seems like a design flaw, kind of would expect better construction.

Am I doing something wrong here?

I'm sorry, I don't know much about these things, but I can only think this is a design flaw.... you could use it on a branch and maybe have the whole works (camera and all) drop to the ground.  If it was mine, I would return it.

If that isn't possible, then maybe this will be of some interest.... it seems you aren't alone:

Good luck.

Do you have the PRO version?  I have found the cheaper plastic Gorilla Pods pop out, but the PRO version with alloy legs are much more rigid.

Get the Pro version, the metal legs are much stronger and don't go popping out.
