Canon has better video options right now than Nikon.

When the last candle has been blown out
and the last glass of champagne has been drunk
All that you are left with are the memories and the images-David Cooke.

Check out whatdigitalcamera.com you can compare them side by side and see test resaluts and reviews, also the nikon D90 is a good camera for the price its a littel more pricy but well worth it if your going to make photography a long time hobby check it out. I bought a nikon D3000 to start and les then a year found myself wanting a D90. Which ever cameera you get learn it in and out competly and you will be surprised by even an entry level DSLR I was. Good Luck.
