Need baby examples

13 years 3 months ago #21308 by Kevinallway
I am new to photography and my friend ask me to take pictures of her 14month old baby girl. I want to do this, but I'm not sure how to go about it. What poses? props? do I need special lighting for babies?

Stuffed animals and toys to draw the attention work well. I shot these of my great grandson in a non-studio setting. He is under 4 months so some techniques would be different with a 14-mo old.

I used a diffuser on my on-camera flash to soften the light. These are not "professional" but candids. I looked at some sites of friends and saw some ideas (like www.uniqueimages.ca ).

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.
