Deli photography

I'm going to be taking some pictures for my dad's butchershop deli. There will be products ranging from sausage to jerky. We've already bought a lot of garnishes for the picture. What kind of lights should I be using? Should I get a reflector?

Well you could use a external flash and bounce it off the reflector.

I'm poor so I cheat whenever I can. I use hardware store lights with daylight white cf bulbs. I saw someone here suggest using one of those windshield sunscreens as a reflector for product shots. I am definitely adding that to my bag of tricks.

Hey whatever works, works. As long as the subject as the correct lighting, it doesn't matter how the light was create. :)

Use mirrors and bounce cards.

BTW food photograph and product photography are the hardest types of photography to do. Period. People make thousands of dollars an hour and have full teams to do food photography. So be patient.
