I need ideas on how I can photograph twins (girl & boy) for their 1yr Birthday photos.

You could do the typical cake smashing shoot. Have a cake for the boy and the girl. Photograph the two babies seperately, then put the twins next to each other with their cakes in front of them and see what happens.

The cake Idea always makes for good photos, but at age 1 make sure you have a splash mat a big one.

One thing I always do is let them play and take pictures while they are playing as well, always get some good shots that way and they are natural which is always a good shot. If they are walking follow them let them take the lead and just be ready for anything.

Cupcakes are a bit less messy. A little chocolate goes a long way. Make sure of your background and backlight a bit especially a dark-haired waif.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I'd use a camera myself.
