Can cameras handle getting snowed on?

If you are out and it starts snowing, is this OK or time to pack up?  Meaning the camera is getting snow piling up on it.

Just checking as I believe these cameras are supposed to have weather seals?

Ideal and most professional use weather sealed cameras when venturing out into all types of climates. However, it's not just the weather sealed camera but when one does to protect it while in the field. Then what does one do ones you're done with it in the field in order to safe guard moisture etc from entering into the camera. it's a catch 22 of sorts and it would be nice if they made (though they might I haven't checked) a portable dry box for just this occasion. All the protective gear of camera covers aren't going to do much in the cold or hot temps. Thus best research your owners manual for the optimum operating temps.

Snow is no danger to any of your gear… as long as
it is just as cold, that is. You can simply blow it away.

Problems may occur when the snow is melting on it.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
