model release form for wedding

I understand photographers have contracts for the B/G to sign. Does a model release form need to be sign?

I don't think a model release form needs to be sign, but if the photographer wants to do anything with those images, it would be wise to have a release form signed.

Ok, would the release form be a separate form or be part of the contract?

I suppose it can be either or. Up to the photographer, I guess.

I think it would be easier to be part of the contract.

The release form is a part of the contract. It is also as a general rule a Copywrite form as well stating the photographer owns the rights and not the customer.

:goodpost: Make sure to include the right to use photos in advertisements and on web sites.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

well as usual I'm late to this party but as I advised those who are shooting weddings for the first time should have included all of the above. Also a part of the release is a liability release in case something happens beyond your control .

It would be in the photographers best interest to have a model release form.

Having the Bride and Groom sign the form, allows you to be able to use any and all photos from their wedding, or pictures that only consist of them two, or photos with the two of them in it along with other guests?
