No1 is by far the winner. Simplicity works with b&w.
Strong composition and message.

No2 would have been stronger without the hand.

No3 looks like it would be stronger in colour.
A plain black head scarf and more out of focus background would simplify the shot.

Yes, The First One , no doubt, Balance and Content. and very nice set of greys and Darks, Very nice picture

An eye for an eye, LSD and antidepressants. Everything in balance. Buddhists call it karma and Christians call it the golden rule, Jews call it— I don't know. Rabbi Hillel said something poignant. Universe always settles the score.
Does it?
No, but it should.

#1: Most interesting for me, as well. I would like more space on either side, and below, as well. As it is, it seems cramped. But a very good moment.

#2: Agree with the above. It's briefly interesting, but lacks focus.

#3: Great eyes. The scarf pattern is distracting, and a very shallow DoF would have been appropriate.

For me.

#2 is by far the best for me.  Low key and an unusual subject, perfect for B&W.

Thank you all so much! I made some edits to the ohotographs and printed ghem as well. Even though more people seemed to favor the birds here and in other forums, they are nit as sharp as I would like when printed, even when I made more space in the frame. I sm entering a BW contest for a local photoclub

...and couldn't decide on an image. I ended up choosing an edited version of the armadillo where I burned the table and softened the arm. The hand is important for the message I intend in this image. It us titled "Barricaded...in our hands". I don't know if the judges will like it but I see quite a few inportant elements in it. Thank you so much again, I appreciate it!

Number 3 for me, seems timeless.
