G'day CW

I think you've done well with this shot - the use of multiple lights has worked very nicely. The back light [to camera right] has just brought out the hair and back of the neck, while the main light [camera left] has brightened & softened the face beautifully. I am pleased to see no harsh shadows from the spectacle frame going down the side of the cheek - it tells me that your main light was a well placed soft-light

Image separation of subject to background is excellent and to be commended. Tonal range is beaut and the whites are kept under control nicely. Overall 'well done ... it's a keeper'

I think you did well here. Very well. Can't add much to the above comments.

I would like to have seen more of the iris in his left eye, and even a catchlight (depending upon where the light was positioned). I think it would have added a but of life to the shot. But that's just me.

A catchlight will definitely make it even better.

A cool model indeed.

May I suggest that the toning is spreading rather
weirdly due to the insufficient highlight recovery
even before B&W conversion?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Nice model. I also think that the tonal range can still improve.
