$300 for a 85mm 1.4, what's the catch?

These are pretty good lenses for the money, I've shot with one before.  I have a friend that owns two Rokinon lenses.  That's where I've used one before.

EF 100mm f/2

Plus, IIRC metering is via stop down method. Focus wide open & then stop down to meter... I don't shoot Canon though so I could be wrong. My Canon cameras are all from the older film days.

I'd skip it honestly.

At that price I have to admit: Tempting!
On the other hand: Shooting at F 1.4 focus hast to be VERY precise....
I am very satisfied with my Tamron f 2.8 / 70-200 mm - which has autofocus....
No real reason to get myself a Rokinon 85mm.
