Anyone pick up this lens yet?  Curious about that f/11 and how it's working out for you?

There are lots of compromises in these two entry level long lenses.

• Things to like
— compact
— light weight
— very cheap (comparatively)

• Things not to like
— very long focal length light weight inviting to be handheld
— impossible to use successfully in less than bright lights
— impossible to focus successfully in less than bright lights
— the dramatic morphology change every time it is set up
causes large air volume flow and impurities into the lenses

• Conclusions
It must be understood that for beginners, it is impressively
long, and tempting, and cheap. However, most will have to
use a tripod or a monopod to get decent results and that
makes one wonder about the intent of the maker… money
making from consumers that will end up discovering that the-
se have way too limited usage to will not hold their value very
long.

I know I am not a Canon user. If Nikon were to bring out so-
mething like that, I would be very disappointed and would
not recommend it to my students.

… just my opinion, of course.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

According to one of my friends,f/11 Lens is very light yet crystal clear, compact, and sharp. The image's output is very sharp with reasonable contrast.
