Do any Mac users recommend anti-virus software or don't bother with it?

I've heard claims that you don't have to bother with it, but honestly I would have it anyway. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Did a little search on the net and it looks like it would be best to have an antivirus program on your Mac.

I've always been a firm believer in anti-virus programs, no matter if I'm using my Mac or my PC.

I agree with Eaglesnest, get something for anti-virus software; even a free version is better than nothing, but something like Norton or Macafee is much preferred.

It will be hard to download any pictures if your computer is destroyed or disabled with a virus!

I never used virus software when I used windows, and I don't on Mac. If you know your way around computers, you won't need it.

As long as you don't torrent on mac and are careless with .dmg files, you won't ever get virii.

Yep, if you're not stupid viruses on Mac are pretty easy to avoid.
