Topaz Denoise or Noise Ninja?

What are you using for noise reduction software? My searches have come up with Topaz and Noise Ninja. Are there any others to consider, or better yet which are you using?

I used to use Noise Ninja and like it a lot, but I do my processing in Lightroom and Lightroom 3 introduced an excellent noise reduction tool built-in. I find that does everything I want. I have occasionally sent an image to Noise Ninja (and Topaz DeNoise, which I have as part of a bundle won here on PT) but not enough to do a meaningful comparison.

I think LR3 does an excellent job on its own. If you're not using LR then I happily reccommend Noise Ninja based on my experience. It seems to get good reviews, too. So does Topaz but I haven't used it enough to give an opinion.

I'm one of the many that bought photoshop (Elements 7) when I really should have bought a lightroom product. I'm probably going to get lightroom 3 soon but, until then, Topaz Denoise is working really well and I will use the Topaz stuff from time to time after I get Lightroom. I have no experience with Noise Ninja but heard good things about it though.

It is what it is.

I would download the trial programs, and try them out yourself.

Years ago I tried out Noise Ninja, Neat Image, and Noiseware Pro. They all did a good job, but I liked the controls of Noiseware Pro best. It's still installed in my Photoshop, but I hardly ever use it anymore. Expose to the right combined with the noise reduction options in Adobe Camera Raw suit me fine most of the time now.
