can my pictures be fixed

13 years 7 months ago #1582 by abbrakabbabra
Yesterday I uploaded some photos I took with my Sony and realized that a group of shots are somehow all messed up. I think maybe the ISO setting got changed on my camera, I am not sure though. Is there any way in PSE 8 where I can correct this or am I stuck with these horribly dotty pictures?

Does not sound like you have much hope. Editing software can not 'correct" a poor exposure to that degree.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

You have some hope if:
  • You shot in a RAW format - which you should ALWAYS do ;)
  • You have noise reduction software. (NoiseWare, NioseNinja)
  • Your exposures are at least close to what you desire.
If not, you may be out of luck and have to resort to very artistic versions instead of accurate ones.

Good luck!

Make a habit of checking out the settings on your camera every time you go out on a new shoot...It's easy to change a setting, forget that you did, & then pick up the camera & just start shooting forgetting all about the previously used setting changes...We've all done it at one time or another (especially WB settings in my case but since I shoot Raw it's not too big of a problem)

Convert it to black and white and call it artistic grain. (no joke)

Right. When using creative settings on a shoot, remember to set them back at the end of the day. Nothing like getting tungsten WB blue snow.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.
