Watermarking my photos

How are you watermarketing your photos quick and easy?  I would like to start to brand my images.

My Raw converter has a very good watermark
tool that I use all the time.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

I use Photoshop.  Old school and time consuming, but it works.

Layer in Photoshop, then flatten

Lightroom, on export. Requires no effort whatsoever once it's set up.

As for PS, you import a layer with your watermark (most of which will be transparent), set opacity, size, location, then save the image.

Actions can be built to accomplish this.

There are also dedicated programs that can apply watermarks for you.

But LR is the simplest, IMHO.

I have done it both ways, and I agree with Gary, LR is way easier. Also, PS was adding a layer for it, causing my files to be much larger. I am not versed enough at PS to figure this out, however, I was able to figure out LR’s in a matter of a few mins. When you export, it’s in a drop down section towards the bottom of the page. The file size seem to be affected little by adding it too.

See the video posted above, but step one is to create a PNG with your graphic/whatever, that has a transparent background. Then use the watermark manager in LR to set things up.
