I use ON1Photo RAW, and before that I used an even easier version called Luminar 4 (they have a later version called Luminar Neo I think it's called. ON1 Photo RAW is stingy with their tutorials - some basic ones to get you going but then you have to pay for decent, more in-depth ones. Other user friendly software programs are Affinity, DxO Photo Lab and Capture One.

I started with DaVinci Resolve when I began learning video editing. It was great because there's a free version that comes packed with plenty of professional features like editing, color correction, audio post-production, and visual effects. It's quite comprehensive for a beginner but has the depth to keep up as your skills grow.

Another one I looked into was iMovie, especially since it's available for Mac users. It's very user-friendly and perfect for basic video editing tasks. Plus, it's free if you have a Mac, which makes it an excellent choice for starting out.

Just start with Davinci Resolve. It’s free and it seems over the last couple years it’s where the industry is heading.

Been using Powerdirector from Cyberlink for ages. Started with it and stuck with it. I think it's very good but I haven't used anything else.

Like others, I downloaded Davinci Resolve because it was free.  There's a large learning curve, but it's free and professional grade software.  Tons of you videos on YouTube that show how to use it.
