when you say it looked unatural had you looked at the hardness of your brush, when you click on healing brush a bar opens across the top of your image, the 2nd box along has a black spot and a number under that spot, click the arrow down there and it brings up sliders, your hardness slider tends to be set at 100% try softening it and having another go, now I am using cs5 if you are using elements or 2/3/4 the boxes may be a little different but you should be able to find what you need. good luck.
