Good Question .... If your a Photographer then it can be for editing. If your a Graphic Desinger then it can be for art. If you do both then it is the tool to have! Double talk? Maybe ..... but photoshop is a tool for everyone!

Yes - and so much more.. graphic design, special effects, web design, digital painting, etc... I seriously doubt if there is any one person who has mastered all the possibilities with Photoshop..
