Do you take credit card payments?

I'm thinking about getting a merchant account to take deposits and final payments. I'd like to know your mobile set up for processing credit cards?

Are clients OK with you swiping their credit cards on your phone?

I think the op is refering to one of these: Square card reader or Paypal Here .

I don't have any experience with any of these as they are not available in my area at the moment. So, I just set up a page on my website where people can make a payment if they need to use a credit card.

Here you go: squareup.com/?gclid=CNLDzczE0LACFUEGRQodJxtdXw

This is the one that I'm looking at. Currently right now, I'm just accepting Paypal, checks and cash

My son is using the Square on his smart phone. No startup cost (reader and software is free) or commitment. 2.75% fee only and the $ goes to your bank account. Visa, MC, AmEx and Discover.
A farmers' market in the area also uses one. Says it works perfectly.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I would also suggest Square. Don't buy the reader and software anywhere (like the Apple store) because it is all free if you signup directly with Square.

I've been super happy with it. Very easy to use.

I use Intuit GoPayment

can do manual entries and swipe, only works with a limited number of phones (yes all iPhones work)

it also has the lowest percentage I have seen for transaction fees

if you verify all your business information it will let you process $5000 dollars a month and directly deposit into your bank account without any waits

though I have not yet had a chance to use it... :(
