The middle one is by far the best it shows the bird at its best, the first one you have to search for the bird and the last one I just dont think its a good process.

:agree: Of these 3 the middle is the best.. It could still be a very nice B&W if it was a tighter crop to showcase the bird more.. depending on your conversion process, you could give more contrast between the bird and the surrounding pots also..

I like the way the first is processed...you have all the detail beautifully done. The second is wonderful with your color selection, but the lower left pot seems to have lost it's detail. However I think if you had the first image with the same color selection as the second you would have an amazing capture.

Thats a very nice birdy, beautiful colors.

the first one is cool but as was mentioned it took a bit of scanning the image before I saw the bird. So the second is my fav.

personally Im not a big fan of B&W pix with a subject in color so if I can give some personal advice I might try to crop the original color version so the birdy is in a postion that can be considered a rule. Either look into the golden spiral or consider the rule of thirds intersection points.

Number is the best. Selective coloring is horrible.
