I was at the "Glass Gallery" in Selma, Nova Scotia where they offer not only beautiful glass creation but also some do-it-yourself projects. On a table was this pile of glass shards waiting to be turned into a masterpiece. I saw it as a photo op.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

It was there, but you didn't get "there" yet. What you have is interesting, but what you needed to do was work the subject more. Try new angles, distances and new POVs.

There is "art" everywhere. But it takes the artist's eye to pull it together.

Matthew :)

So long as the white balance is right an it's in focus and the bokeh is good.

That's the technical stuff we have to get beyond. How to operate a camera 101.

After that, comes learning how to see like a photographer. Few make it to there as they too often think once the ISO, f/stop and shutter speeds (and their relationships) are known, they know all about photography. You can then write a book teaching others, and make $millions. Right, BP?

Oh, then you need to know how to use a flash.. in Manual! I have a book for that too.

Darn, the reviews aren't so good. Seems BP only knows what he learned from reading pages at strobist.com.

Welcome to the internet.

If you say so...

Everyone, please don't deliberately start fights and such. No one (apart from Alex and Jackie of course) is above discipline. A healthy debate is fine, but attacking people and baiting them into a fight is (frankly) a dumb idea.
