Well I am just starting to shoot in raw and would love some advice on this shot. I had the camera set to raw & Jpg.

This is the edited RAW shot

This is the jpg all I did to this one was resize to 800 and sharpen the same as I did to the raw image.

The RAW version seemed to carry more of the red which makes it pop a bit more.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Raw Vs. JPEG...
Your RAW image certainly gets the red "in your face"!!! :judge: It is so much clearer than the jpeg - I'm only starting to explore raw this week, but if this image is anything to go by, I will be enjoying it!:woohoo:

Hey, YOU... Yes - YOU...come and see my site...

Thanks for the comments. As to the question about raw converters I use Serif photoplus X5 and was using the raw studio part of the program to convert the image. Next I am going to try view nx2. That will have wait, I am battling to keep my kitten off the keyboard.

I uses ViewNX2 for my Ir images,it retains the colors better than Capture One 6.
