After work yesterday I drove down to my sisters for Halloween but really could not move so gave my 13 year old NIece my camera to go and get some snaps after setting the camera up in manual to roughly match the light in the house and the flash...
Considering she doesn't have her own camera I'm impressed, a couple of her 'snaps'....
For some reason when shrinking the images down they aren't as sharp as full screen but full res on my screen all of the eyes are crystal and pop...

The compositions weren't to bad although alittle cropping might have been done here or there. In reality there wasn't too much PP needed on these at all which was surprising

Ah, mate... the Stofen is designed to increase light scattering from bounced flash (45º up)... so many people use them for "softening" direct flash, but the size of the light source is the same so the hardness of the light is basically the same as if you used direct flash.
I assume you were using it tilted up 45º... right?!
