Stopped to take pics of my ride on the way home today part 2

12 years 1 week ago #224507 by John37
Took my other beast and stopped at the same route. I listened to the advice of the great people here and tried getting a little lower for some of the shots. I think I used the wrong lens for these, but it's some of the best glass I have and I don't get this opportunity to stop here a lot. CC encouraged as always!!
Thanks

Very Nice !! :judge: :beerbang:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

I like #4 best. But if the subject must be off center, then it needs to be to the other side. So that it is facing in toward the center of the picture, instead of outwards toward the nearest edge.

Great to know! Thank you for that! Looks like I'll have to take that route home again!!

Okay.... how's this? Any better? Same photo, just recropped and cloned out the post on top of the handlebars.

I was going to say I liked #3 best, but then I saw your re-edit on #4 and I think it just became my favorite.

Yup, in my view the new crop of #4 is an improvement.

These are first rate. I just shot a whole weekend of bike shots at our local festival in Leesburg. In addition to a lovely background you have a very nice reflection going for you. The light coming out from behind a tree sets the whole thing up for success. A+ for posing, setting and time of day (lighting)... :judge: :judge: :judge: :judge:

Thank you!
I knew the lighting was great when I shot my other bike their yesterday... but I didn't know why. This makes sense. It was sort of a diffused source. I'm not sure if anyone can tell, but the headlight was actually off. I PP'd in LR3 to make it appear that it was on. Does is appear that way?

:judge:  I love "Harley No. 2"... The contrast of the fence colour with your Harley really made it "POP" right off the page! They are ALL great captures! :judge:

Nice photos indeed, and great location. Wish we had similar places near where I live, but there is still plenty of opportunities around. Well done!

Still learning :)

Nice images John.....I like #2 and the recrop of # 4 the best! #2 i like "parts" and this one shows the handle bars really well. The recrop does give it a better direction for the bike
