Dear All,

I tried to click a lamp with best possible options available. What more could have been taken care? Pls share your feedback.

Really difficult subject in a challenging environment.

If you can't add light to improve detail on the lamp, you could take 2 exposures (tripod!), one for the highlights and one for the lamp itself (which would have blown highlights). Then combine them in PP to replace the blown highlights with the properly exposed ones.

It basically means you have a shot with a high dynamic rage for light. That means light spectra broader than your camera can handle (which is not as much as your eye can see). The suggestion was to take multiple exposures using different light setting and merge them in to a simple image. This is more than most relative beginners can handle.
suggect would be to add some lights (flashes or constant lights to illuminate the darker areas. This will bring the dynamic range into what your camera can deal with. You need to get a bit more even balance on the image, especially the top area.
