Nice color and quality. When framing using leaves (or anything similar) in the foreground try to watch for parts of a branch like to the left sticking into the picture; it creates lines that draw the eye so can end up being visually distracting. I'd also be aware of shade and darker areas as well and adjust the vantage point to place those areas in the frame of the viewfinder/viewscreen in a way that works in the composition. I might make copies and try different crops; the large trunk to the right to me seems like it is a little too much compared to the rest of the photo.
You're on the right track with your idea, keep experimenting and thinking about what's in your viewfinder and make any adjustments in framing before you release the shutter. This is nicely done, keep at it.
