You teaser… let me enjoy the rest of this agonising winter! :P

Do I see a slight WB issue in this, Stefan?

could very well be.... I usually always start by setting the WB, but If I dont think its better, (relative)  I'll just go at it myself:)....Yes summer will be here before we know it.

I guess I should add that I always go for a look (whatever is in my head at the time) vs a representation of true reality....lol

Summer! Creative in highlighting your location. Btw, I think there is a little issue indeed in the WB.

Yes, I got that Stefan but this is a subjective appreciation and it
may clash with the viewer's own!

The mid-day Sun doesn't justify, IMO, the yellow cast on the scene.
This is what I get from the exercise…

… and though it doesn't feel like winter anymore… :(  I
theoretically have eleven more days to go before Spring!

Luckily for me I dont do this for a living so I dont need to adhere to any set rules. WB is just one of many many things the viewer will find either appealing or un-appealing.

But it is still on the cool side.  Friday, Mary Lou and I had lunch in Seal Beach.  Catalina was huge on the horizon ... like a siren ... calling. Can't wait to get out of all this winter stuff ... but all the wildflowers think it's Spring.  I was in Temecula the other day and the hillsides down there were all orange and blue ... huge wide brush strokes of color across the hills.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

Beautiful Stefan. Looks like a postcard.
Maybe some WB adjustment though ….   (heh heh)  I barely know what that is.  I'm just joining the crowd  :silly:

And no complaining about winter you whiners.  This was my house March 1st  !!
An inch an hour for 16 hours !  No power for 3 days !  Most neighbors went to hotels !  I however had a nice store of firewood.  How's that for WB ?

Nice white balance Mike.  ;)

Stefan and I feel fortunate to live in SoCal.  Yeah, it's over-populated, high taxes and housing a bitch ... but geologically California is amazing, biologically it is amazing, culturally - the major cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego are cross-roads of the world, educationally Sanford is considered as the best private university in the world and Berkley the best public university in the world (arguably), et al.

Last year, I was having lunch in the patio of a Santa Monica eatery.  I overheard two guys talking at the table next to me.  They were a bit on the loud side and over the course of their conversation and lunch, I discovered one guy was a Nobel Prize winning professor from Cal Tech, the other dude was a movie producer.  They were casually speaking to the movie they were making, the Cal Tech guy was giving notes/expertise to the producer dude about what does and does not happen in space and half the time laughing about facts. Fascinating stuff.

Only in California.
