Looking Through The Window

There's another old house that I've always wanted to shoot so this morning I stopped... from the window through the back door to the trees - nice light..

And through the front door..

When were you at my house? :)
Seriously, old houses and barns have so much potential if you only stop to look. Nice shot.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Are we roommates? LOL..
Yeah - I love the rustic textures.. I know they're cliche and probably done to death, but I love 'em.. Thanks..

I can relate to the mess too. Maybe we should all timeshare our homes.

I love these shots as well. I shot some old farm buildings last summer. If I get a chance I want to go back and do it again with some fresh perspective. The last few times I have gone to my outback I was wishing some of you guys could tag along. What seems old and redundant to me might be fresh and exciting for you. Maybe we should timeshare or share time...

Besides I need someone to go get the predawn donuts...

Charles - I'd love to get back to Florida and be able to spend some time shooting.. I was just getting into it when we moved away. I keep telling people I'm on my way back South, in a roundabout kinda way.. via Missouri, Kentucky, North Carolina.. what's next?

David - I'd also love to get back to the UK.. I could live there again (Scotland 75-79) but I don't think the bride would go for that.. anything under 80 degrees and she's freezing..

Like that door. Get any shots of it by itself?

I always keep my eyes open for old dwellings ... makes you wonder about their past lives, their owners and how they got to the state they're in now .... and how much longer they'll stand.

No matter how fast I go, there's always someone slower in front of me.

Thanks.. No shots of the door by itself but I intend to go back some evening when the sun is at my back and the place has that Golden Hour glow...
I'm also wearing long pants and boots so I can walk through the place and out back.. Looked a little dangerous yesterday morning when I was wearing just shorts and sandals...

Funny thing about that dedication.. the older I get, the more cautious I get.. (or is it just wiser?)

I'd go with the wiser theory Dave... I can now see the scars left from my bulletproof years.
