Less insane edition.

I start with View NX to convert the RAW files, then edit with Photo Shop Elements 10 and then if I need/want to tweak anything else I do that in Corel-Paint Shop Pro. I only have limited experience with PS, you guys are light years beyond anything I can do.

I have never used elements, can you dodge and burn on it?

I'm sure you can but I do that in Corel, don't know how to or haven't even tried in PS. Sorry if I'm not much help....

Your fine. All I did was push fill up in RAW editor, bump exposure, then dodge and burn some of the dark areas. Used INFO in PS (i'm sure it's in corel) to know the color value of the snow and tried to stay around 210-212.

O.K., Thank you Scotty, I appreciate your help with this. You too Adrian, it's nice to see what is possible. It looks like at least the two of you had fun in the process, and I learned something else too! :woohoo:

Absolutely. Elements also has ye olde Magic Lasso, and layers, and auto EQ. You can do about anything PS can do, just not so elegantly, and most of these tools in Elements are limited to JPG.
