Thank You!!!! I went back to Coos Canyon today and reshot everything. I hope you don't mind that I started a new thread-I don't wanna look at that other picture any more.... actually, I'm so tired of shooting snow right now I'd be quite happy if I didn't have to do it again till next winter. Anyway, what do you think, is this better??

You know this picture is quite interesting and has a good sense of depth.

The textures lend themselves to a (red filter) black and white too:






(hope you don't mind me attempting the edit, just wanted to show you what I meant).

Photoshop has a black and white conversion feature (Image>Adjustments>Black and White), just selected the "Red filter" preset (and I dropped the blue level down a bit too to darken the shadows for more drama).

Just curious. What did you do differently this time? What exposure compensation do you work out? Much better outcome. Good job!
