Whipped out the camera to get some shots... Didn't adjust any settings, just shot away, using the pop up flash to light up the flakes...

here in MI too yesterday (tuesday). Maybe not as large as yours but maybe around 1/2 the size of golf balls.Brilliant idea with the flash!!!! I'll have to remember that!! #1 is my favorit! Awesome shots!
Here in Nova Scotia we get flakes of all sizes, we have a saying:
Big Flakes = LIttle Snow, Small Flakes = Big Snow
The warmer the temperature the larger the flakes which means the snow will not mount to much, when we get a big storm ( 20 cm / 12 in. ) the flakes would be tiny......
You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.
No big fluffy snowflakes here this winter. The flakes where I live are the people driving around in it who all of a sudden forget how to drive when it snows.
